Nine shops looted in Buner

BUNER -  As many as nine shops were looted in Pirbaba area of Buner during the last 24 hours.

The thieves took away cash and valuables worth hundreds and thousands of rupees in the midnight of Tuesday and Wednesday.

Local sources said that it was the second incident of shops looting in the last few days as earlier dacoits looted several shops in Gatkala village of Buner. Local said that dacoits broke locks of several shops in Johela square near Pirbaba Bazar and took away cash and other valuables.

The local people and victims have expressed concern over the incident and asked the authorities concern to take action against these anti-social elements.

DPO Buner Irshad Khan and DSP circle Farmanullah Khan visited the area and assured the victims to arrest all the persons involved in these criminal activities.

He said that protection of life and property of citizen is police responsibility and no negligence would be tolerated in this regard. He said the arrested persons would be given exemplary punishment to eradicate criminal activities in the area.

ANP CONCERNED OVER GROWING LAWLESSNESS IN KP

Staff Reporter from Peshawar adds: Awami National Party has expressed deep concern over the growing lawlessness in the province.

The party leaders also moved an adjournment motion in the Assembly Secretariat on Wednesday.

The motion states that in law last couple of months several incidents of terrorism reported in the province and numbers of people were targeted in these terrorist activities.

It said that the public have reservation over the poor law and order situation and target killing incident.

He added that due to unemployment and joblessness, the people are joining criminal gangs to create law and order situation in the city.

He asked the government to set aside the ordinary business of the house and debate the issue of lawlessness in the province.
