HYDERABAD - The former Sindh chief minister and leader of Pakistan Peoples Party Syed Qaim Ali Shah Wednesday claimed that PPP governments had fulfilled commitments which made with the people and the party would retain the status in the general elections 2018.
Talking to media persons here at the residence of Syed Ali Nawaz Shah Rizvi, Syed Qaim Ali Shah said that the governments of Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto, Benazir Bhutto and Asif Zardari have served the masses and it was the reason that the party remained alive in their hearts.
He alleged that all those who enjoyed the blessings of dictators have been united under Grand Democratic Alliance but they could not achieve their goals in the general elections as they people of Sindh fully aware that they did nothing when they were in the power. While criticising the politics of PTI Chief Imran Khan, the veteran politician claimed that he could not become Prime Minister of the country by staging sit-ins.
He said that country was passing through a crucial time and under such circumstances, the political quarrels are not the good sign for the democracy in the country. Despite differences of opinion in politics, there should be no compromise of national integrity and solidarity, he added.
Syed Qaim Ali Shah informed that PPP would organise a historic public meeting in Larkana on December 27 on the eve of the death anniversary of former Prime Minister Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto Shaheed. Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and Co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari would deliver important speeches on the occasion, he said.
