LAHORE - Speaker Punjab Assembly Rana Muhammad Iqbal Wednesday stressed the need for getting technical education, saying it was need of the hour.
“Our youth should equip themselves with technical education to compete with other nations in the global job market”, he said while addressing the 11th “International Conference on Open Source Systems and Technologies” at University of Technology. Rana Iqbal urged the universities to keep their curriculum undated with the latest innovations and developments in the field of technology.
He hoped that the research papers read out in the conference would help the students cope with the new challenges in the realm of information technology.
Speaker further stated that Punjab government was striving hard to bring about revolution in the field of education. He said efforts were being made to raise the standard of education with greater stress on teachers’ training and provision of missing facilities at the educational institutions.
