ISLAMABAD - Federal Minister for Housing and Works Rehmatullah Kakar Friday said that the government intended to offer reasonable accommodation facilities to public on subsidised rates. He said this while addressing the media representatives at balloting ceremony of allotment of flats. "We are determined to promote people friendly policies. Today's balloting is the part of our programmes that aim at providing the masses with quality accommodation at very cheaper rates," he claimed. "Acquiring a house in Islamabad is an uphill a task. A common man can only wish to reside in a metropolitan city like the Capital. Keeping in view the plight of general public, we have initiated such programmes that tend to facilitate the commoners," Rehmatullah stated. The minister said that the balloting system was introduced to allot flats among general public on transparent basis.
