KARACHI - Marilyn Denton, Senior Trade Commissioner of Trade Commissioner Service in Canadian High Commission, Islamabad, visited Karachi Chamber of Commerce & Industry on Friday. Anjum Nisar, President KCCI welcomed her and explained about the role of KCCI towards promotion of trade & business activities at national & international level. He urged for Pak-Canadian joint ventures in alternate energy development, supply chain solutions & agriculture sector. Marilyn Denton said that that bilateral trade potential do exist but is not been properly utilized. She was of the view that at present the investment risk factor in Pakistan is high which can be improved by improving law & order situation. Travel Advisory is issued after analysis of law & order history of past several months. She advised to explore value-added marble sector. To enhance the trade potential, she stressed on the need of effective liaison among corporate sector of both countries with connivance of Canadian Trade Commission. President KCCI informed about plan for taking a high power delegation of KCCI to Canada to explore the trade potential.
