Former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif said that Kargil War was planned and executed by army under then general Pervez Musharraf and that he had no knowledge of it. Addressing PML (N) General Council meeting at Raiwind on Saturday, Nawaz Sharif said Musharraf launched the Kargil operation soon after the visit of former Indian Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee to Lahore. "My brother Musharraf attacked Kargil. I had no clue about that military operation. It came to my notice when Vajpayee called me and said what have you done? He said he had just returned from Pakistan a few days back and went back with such good feelings and you have attacked us. I called Musharraf and found this to be true," Nawaz said.
