Imtiaz Sheikh rejoins PML-F

KARACHI - Pakistan Muslim League-Functional General Secretary Imtiaz Sheikh on late Wednesday night tendered resignation from his party post, however, after rejection of resignation from PML-F chief Pir Pagara, he rejoined the party activities.
Earlier, special advisor to Prime Minister and PML-F’s leader, Imtiaz Sheikh resigned from his post on late Wednesday night because of his personal issues. He refused to comment further in this regard. 
Talking to The Nation, PML-F leader Dr Taj Khan said Imtiaz Sheikh sent his resignation to PML-F chief Pir Pagara. During a meeting with Imtiaz Sheikh on Thursday, Pagara refused to accept his resignation and directed to continue his work on the party slot.
Talking to media men at his residence here on Thursday, Sheikh said due to his personal work and issues, he sent his resignation to the PML-F chief but Pir Pagara refused to accept it.
To a question, he said news reports about the development of differences between the local leaders of the party were null and void. The PML-F is united under the leadership of Pir Pagara.
It is pertinent to mention here that Sheikh a bureaucrat tuned politician become key leader of PML-F in short period. Sheikh remained associated with Sindh Documentary Alliance before joining PML-F while during the General Pervaiz Musharraf‘s tenure Sheikh served as minister of revenue, later joined PML-F and become a close aide of Late Pir Pagara Shah Mardan. He contested the general election in May 2013 from his hometown Shikarpur on PML-F ticket and won.
