LAHORE  - A rickshaw driver’s wife Friday gave birth to quadruplets – three boys and one girl – at Genealogy Department of Lahore General Hospital.

All the babies and their mother are hale and hearty. Nazia, wife of a rickshaw driver Khalid, from Raiwind, was brought to labor room of LGH on Friday where she gave birth to four babies during a premature delivery.

 Assistant Professor of Gynecology Naila Yasmin, who supervised the operation, said that the delivery was carried out in normal procedure. She told that the average weight of babies was 1.75 kilogram.

Khalid, father of the babies, told the media that he already had one son while three of his babies died. He expressed his gratefulness to Allah Almighty for blessing him with sons and daughter in a single delivery.

He also thanked doctors and staff of LGH who provided all medical facilities to his wife free of cost.
