The TV channel also claimed that the murder suspect would be handed over to the Punjab government by authorities after initial investigation. On the other hand, Punjab Law Minister Rana Sana Ullah Tuesday told reporters that the provincial government had no information about his arrest or homecoming. He said there was possibility that he would have been arrested by any other security or intelligence agency. “But, the Punjab government is totally ignorant about the development,” he said. A spokesman for the Punjab Police told The Nation that the provincial police had no information about the arrest or return of Abid Boxer. “We can’t confirm his arrest. No such development is in our knowledge,” the spokesman said.
