KARACHI - Anti Car Lifting Cell of Sindh Police busted a gang of car-lifter while recovered two snatched vehicles from their possession on Tuesday.
Police said that the accused persons including Hassan and Raza confessed to snatch over 10 cars while further investigation is underway. Police said that the accused persons were also involved in robberies and other criminal activities.
Special Investigation police claimed to have arrested fifteen accused persons in different raids carried out in various parts of the city. SSP Tariq Dahrejo said that the accused persons arrested were involved in numerous criminal activities including murder, attempt to murder, robberies and street crimes. He said that the accused persons were wanted to the police in number of criminal cases while police have recovered weapons, snatched motorbikes and other looted valuables.
Paposh Nagar police claimed to have arrested a street criminal while recovered weapons from his possession. Police said that the accused person identified as Bilal was wanted to the police in number of street crime cases.
Sohrab Goth police conducted a raid at a gambling den while arrested five gamblers. Police said that the accused persons including Faiz, Younas, Amjed, Akber and Allah Dad were running a gambling den in Lasi Goth area of Sohrab Goth. Police registered the case while sized the stuff being used to run a den.
Azizabad police claimed to have arrested an accused Nadeem while recovered weapon and looted money. Police said that the accused managed to rob a shop in the locality and taken away rupees 0.3 million from the shop while police managed trace and arrest the accused and recovered cash from his possession.
BODY FOUND
Police found a tortured body of young man here in the limits of Mochko Police Station.
Police said that the body was found near from the Lal Qila Kanta, Baldia Town and shifted to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital where doctors confirmed that the accused has been tortured to death while body was shifted to morgue where deceased was identified as Muhammad Rafiq.
Police said that the deceased hailed from Balochistan and had not residence in Karachi while further investigation is in progress.
23 SUSPECTS ARRESTED
Police claimed to have arrested at least 23 accused persons in various raids and operations carried out in different parts of city while recovered weapons, valuables and narcotics from their possession.
Mominabad police claimed to have arrested an accused affiliated defunct militant organisation while recovered weapons from his possession. SSP West Umar Shahid in press conference said that the accused person Muhammad Kashif aka Kalu affiliated with defunct Sipah-e-Sahaba Pakistan, resident of New Karachi had been involved in more than six murders. Police claimed to have recovered weapons from his possession while further investigation is underway.
Law enforcement agencies in plain clothes raided in Sector 5/E Surjani Town while arrested an accused person Salman Aslam from his residence.
Witnesses said that the gunmen without uniform raided at his residence and taken him away to unknown place. Family sources said that Salman is a son of area consular Aslam and have nothing to do with any political party.
