Rs5 million looted  in robbery

ATTOCK - In a broad daylight robbery, three armed men looted Rs5 million cash from a money exchanger in the limits of Hazro Police station of district Attock on Saturday.

Police sources said that three armed men in the guise of customers came to Pakistan Money Changer located in Hazro bazaar on Saturday morning and held owner Naseem Khan and other staff members at gunpoint. They looted cash worth Rs 5 million and escaped from the crime scene successfully. On getting information, police rushed to the spot and started investigation. DSP Raja Fayyazul Haq told newsmen that a search operation has been launched in the area.

Oil tankers collide

RAHIM YAR KHAN - Traffic remained suspended on National Highway due to leakage of furnace oil when a truck collided with an oil tanker at Taranda Muhammad Pannah Bypass on Saturday. The oil tanker (TLV-382) carrying 50,000 liters of furnace oil was going to Sheikhupura from Karachi. A speedy truck collided with it from back side.Rescu1122 personal reached the spot and stopped the leakage immediately with the help of cleaner and shifted the oil tanker to a safer place.

They controlled the leakage of furnace oil and saved the large quantity in the tanker. Assistant Commissioner RYK Headquarters Riasat Ali reached the scene and restored the traffic.

Citizens looted

KASUR - Dacoits deprived two citizens of cash and other valuables near Waan Adhan Railway Crossing here the other day.

According to police, at least a dozen dacoits picketed near the railway crossing and snatched Rs15,000 from Abdullah. Similarly, they snatched Rs8,000 and other valuables from Abrar. Changa Manga police are investigating.
