KARACHI - The Anti-Violence Crime Cell (AVCC) has recovered a kidnapped child and arrested two alleged kidnappers from Hawksbay area of the city. Addressing a press conference on Saturday, CIA DIG Saqib Ismail Memon said that 7-year-old Abdul Rehman was kidnapped on December 31 in the precincts of PIB Colony Police Station. The kidnappers demanded Rs5 million as ransom for release of the child. The AVCC, following the case, started efforts for safe recovery of the child and traced out the hideout of the kidnappers in Hawksbay area with the help of CPLC, he said. The raid was conducted by the AVCC team and managed safe recovery of the child. Two kidnappers identified as Pervaiz Ali Dayeo and Abdul Shakoor were also arrested from the spot, he said. Further investigation is under way.
