MULTAN - Federal Minister for Power Division Sardar Awais Ahmad Khan Leghari has said that special Constraint Removal War Rooms have been established at all distribution companies to ensure implementation of zero loadshedding schedule across the country.

“The power consumers will get uninterrupted electricity supply in coming summers,” he declared while addressing different public gatherings in Multan and Dera Ghazi Khan here on Saturday.

The minister said that a special monitoring cell had been set up by the PEPCO which would eliminate all problems being faced by DISCOs besides ensuring implementation of zero loadshedding schedule. He said that it was the manifesto of PML-N to serve the people at their doorstep. He said that he had accepted the challenge to resolve problems being faced by the power consumers across the country and he would accomplish his task.

He claimed that the PML-N would win next general election with the support of people and resolve remaining problems.

He said that his father Farooq Laghari served people after becoming President of Pakistan. “Now we are promoting his philosophy,” he added. He said that the political opponents of Laghari Group sought refuge in PTI, who befooled the people of Pakistan in the name of new Pakistan. He said that oppressing the people with the help of police and patwaris was not politics. doing politics .

RS3B BEING SPENT ON SPORTS, RECREATIONAL ACTIVITIES

Secretary sports Punjab Muhammad Amir Jan disclosed on Saturday funds worth about Rs3 billion were being spent on provision of sports and other recreational activities for the youth in Multan division.

Chairing a meeting held to review progress in sports projects, he directed the concerned officials to ensure accomplishment of all projects in time, saying the government would continue supply of funds required for the projects. He issued order for expediting work on Multan gymnasium and Sports Ground upgradation project as well as E-library establishment. He said that special emphasis should be put on the quality of work,

The sports officials briefed the secretary on ongoing projects and disclosed that some projects had stopped due to shortage of funds.

They further told the secretary that floodlights would be installed at Cricket Sports Ground Multan, Khursheed Anwar Stadium Vehari and Sports Stadium Jahanian after their up-gradation. Similarly, football grounds are being established in Kabirwala, Vehari and Burewala while work is underway on Sports Complex Lodhran.

They disclosed that the work on above mention projects was being done by the PMU while gymnasium and E-library projects were being executed by buildings department.

The Commissioner Multan division Bilal Ahmad Butt briefed the secretary on the projects while officials of buildings department, PMU and sports officials were present on this occasion.
