LAHORE -  Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif will appear before the NAB Combined Investigation Team Lahore on January 22 (tomorrow) to answer the queries regarding the alleged misuse of authority in the award of contracts in Ashiana-e-Iqbal Housing projects.

The decision to the effect of the appearance of Shehbaz Sharif before NAB team has been taken in light of the opinion of the legal experts, say media reports.

According to reports, Shehbaz Sharif will reach the NAB office Lahore at 10am tomorrow.

It may be mentioned that a team of bureaucrats and legal experts was formed earlier to formulate the queries raised by the NAB in the notice sent to the CM.

The NAB has alleged that over Rs1.2 billion loss has been caused to the national exchequer by the award of contracts in violation of the prescribed rules and regulations.

Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah in a contact expressed his ignorance about the appearance of Shehbaz Sharif before the NAB.
