LAHORE: A special committee, formed on the instruction of chief minister to protect children, Saturday decided to establish an emergency alert system. Named as Talash, the system will be on the pattern of Umber Alert System of America. The committee headed by Law Minsiter Rana Sanaullah Khan recommended the system to be introduced in Lahore and Multan as ‘flagship’.

The meeting also deliberated upon drafting legislation to ensure child protection. Addressing the meeting the law minister called upon parents and teachers to make children aware about the strangers.  He also suggested check on use of internet by children. –Staff Reporter

 

Also, Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif, while presiding over a meeting via video link, directed that the investigation of the Kasur minor girl case should be completed at the earliest.

He directed the investigation team to speed up its effort and complete the case while making every humanly possible effort. He said he is hopeful that the investigation team will soon trace the accused and killer of the innocent girl cannot escape the law.
