Zainab case: SC expresses dissatisfaction over JIT's investigation

The head of Joint Investigation Team of Zainab murder case appeared before Supreme Court today. 

Chief Justice of Pakistan Saqib Nisar is conducting the hearing at Supreme Court's Lahore Registry. The apex court took suo moto notice of the incident. 

JIT head Muhammad Idrees told the court that on January 4th, Zainab left her house at 7 pm for taking Quran class at her aunt's house. 

"The house is 300 meters away and her brother Usman used to go with her but on that day seven-year-old was alone," he said. 

The JIT has further told the court that since June 2015, eight similar incidents have happened and one person is involved in it. 

"We have found DNA of same person in these eight incidents," JIT head told the court. "These eight incidents in jurisdiction of three police stations in Kasur," he further added.
