LAHORE - Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar Thursday approved to post an additional deputy commissioner along with relevant staff in Murree on 19 new posts as the budget has been approved in this regard. The CM was presiding over a meeting of the Cabinet Standing Committee on Finance and Development which was attended by Advisor Dr Salman Shah, Special Assistant to Chief Minister (SACM) Hasaan Khawar, chief secretary, SMBR and secretaries of departments concerned. Finance Minister Hashim Jawan Bakht and Industries Minister Mian Aslam Iqbal participated through the video link. The CM also approved the appointment of an SP rank officer for the new Kohsar Division in Murree along with the approval of development schemes for Faisalabad valuing around Rs3 billion.
Moreover, Rs2.30 billion will be spent on 179 schemes of water supply and sanitation etc.
Similarly, the meeting approved 27 road repair schemes with an expenditure of Rs36.80 crore. The CM also approved five higher education sector projects of Rs24.80 crore along with upgradation of Samundri THQ Hospital with Rs50 million.
