ISLAMABAD - District Food Controlller Muhammad Afzal on Monday conducted surprised price checking in the area of G-8/4 Sector and imposed fine of Rs 2,100 on 5 naanbais for selling roti at higher prices. DFC ICT Muhammad Afzal informed that ICT administration has fixed 120 gram weight of roti in Islamabad while the naanbais were selling roti of 110 gram weight at higher price. He also informed that a special drive has been launched to ensure the availability of food items at control rates and strict action would be taken against the profiteers. Meanwhile, Secretary Islamabad Transport Authority Asia Gul conducted traffic checking at PIMS stop and challaned 68 public service vehicles of route No 120,124 and 111 for overcharging, non-completion of the designated routes and misbehaving with commuters. Asia Gul also visited the Motor Vehicle Examiner Office at Faizabad where light traffic and heavy traffic vehicles licences are being issued. Meanwhile, Secretary, Islamabad Transport Authority, Asia Gul on Monday conducted traffic checking at PIMS stop and challaned 68 public service vehicles of route No 120, 124 and 111 for over charging, not completing the designated routes and misbehaving with the commuters. She warned the offenders to charge the fixed fares, complete the routes and behave decently with the commuters failing which their vehicles will be impounded alongwith heavy fines to defaulters.
