ISLAMABAD - President Asif Zardari has summoned Senate session on July 24 and National Assembly Session on August 03 in the Parliament House. The Senate session would be held in the morning time while National assembly session would be held in the evening. This will be the 55th session of the Senate while 15th session of the National Assembly. According to details, PM House had sent a summary to President Zardari for calling Senate Session on the 24th. Consequently, President signed the summary on Monday. The Parliament sources told TheNation that the issues of military operation in Malakand division, returning process of Internally-Displaced Persons, price-hike, load shedding and surge in petroleum and electricity prices would be discussed in both the houses of the Parliament. They also said that the issue of 17th amendment and 58-(2b) would also likely to be discussed in the National Assembly. In this regard, Speaker NA Dr Fehmida Mirza has already constituted a special committee of the Parliament on Constitutional Reforms to resolve issue of 17th amendment and 58-(2b). The committee Chairman Raza Rabbani has sought proposals for constitutional reforms from all political parties, lawyers community and civil society till on July 28.
