Afridis father passes away

Sports Desk KARACHI - Former Pakistan One-day and Twenty20 team captain Shahid Khan Afridis father Sahabzada Fazal-ur-Rehman Afridi breathed his last on Wednesday hee after he suffered a severe heart attack. Fazal-ur-Rehman was admitted to Aga Khan Hospital where he suffered a heart attack. Earlier, Afridi had returned home from England because of his fathers critical condition. The funeral prayers of the deceased will be offered after Asar prayers, while he will be buried in Scot Colony graveyard here in Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Shahid Afridi's brother Mushtaq Afridi said. Meanwhile, speaker of National Assembly Dr Fehmida Mirza and Faisal Karim Kundi, Deputy Speaker have condoled the death of Sahabzada Fazal-ur-Rehman Afridi, the father of former Captain Pakistan Cricket team Shahid Khan Afridi. In their separate condolence messages here on Wednesday the Speaker and Deputy Speaker expressed their heartfelt grief and sorrow over the sad demise of Afridis father. They prayed to Almighty to rest the departed soul in eternal peace and grant courage and fortitude to the members of bereaved family to bear the irreparable loss with equanimity. Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Ijaz Butt, Chief Operating Officer Subhan Ahmad, Chairperson Women Wing Mrs Bushra Aitazaz, Board of Governors and management have expressed condolence over the demise of Sahibzada Fazal-ur-Rehman, father of Pakistan's former captain Shahid Khan Afridi.
