Our Staff Reporter GUJRAT - One of the towers of the Gujrat Fort, built in 16th century, collapsed in the morning. However, no loss of life was reported in the incident on Wednesday. The Gujrat Fort is situated in Mohallah Dhaki, an oldest locality of the Gujrat city, where its one tower named 'Samman Burj licked the ground. Fortunately, the four families, living in the tower since last two decades, remained unhurt. The police and a team of Rescue 1122 reached the site on being informed and started rescue work. The Rescue 1122 experts were reviewing the possibilities of getting the remaining part of the tower collapsed to avoid any human loss in the future. The collapsed building caused immense damages to the adjoining areas as the cracks had appeared on the facades of many houses and a mosque that spawned unrest among the inmates. Mohallah Dhaki houses dozens of centuries old buildings standing in a shambles, exposing the people to permanent threats.
