LAHORE - A baby boy was killed while his maternal uncle seriously wounded during a road accident here in Shahdra area, police said on Wednesday. Muhammad Shahbaz, resident of Sheikhupura, along with his one-year-old son Muhammad Raza riding on a motorcycle, was going home when his two-wheeler hit Tonga near Begum Kot. The baby died on the spot while the motorcyclist was rushed to a local hospital, where his condition was reported to be critical. In another incident, a 16-year-old motorcyclist was killed when a rashly driven car hit his two-wheeler in Barki area, police said. Muhammad Irfan, resident of Dagran village, was on his way to the market when a car hit his motorcycle and he died on the spot. The local residents and shopkeepers captured the car driver and handed him over to the police. Further investigations were underway.
