PML-N leader shot dead in Quetta firing

QUETTA-Unidentified people gunned down a leader of PML-N in the provincial capital on Wednesday while police recovered a body of a boy from Samungli Road. According to details, Saleem Jadoon, district leader of PML-N was on his way to office located at Patel Road of Quetta when unidentified armed men opened indiscriminate firing on him. Resultantly, he sustained serious injuries and was rushed to Civil Hospital Quetta for treatment. However, due to his critical condition he was shifted to CMH for further treatment where he succumbed to his injuries. Hospital sources said that deceased had received bullets in his neck and chest that caused his death. The assailants managed to flee from the scene after committing the crime. Police has registered a case against unidentified people and started an investigation into the killing, however, motive behind the attack was yet to be ascertained. Meanwhile, activists of PML-N staged a protest demo in front of Quetta Press Club to condemn the murder of Saleem Jadoon. They chanted slogans, demanding for immediate arrest of culprits and stern action against them. In another incident, police recovered a body of 12-year-old boy from Samungli Road of Quetta. Police moved the body to Civil Hospital for autopsy and said the body was packed in a sack. Later, the killed boy was identified as Shehryar Zehri. Police said the incident seemed to be a case of old enmity. Police have registered a case and started investigation into the killing.
