Action against profiteers ordered

SANGLA HILL
Assistant Commissioner Nazarat Hussain has directed the authorities concerned to black list the shopkeepers involved in selling commodities at higher rates in Ramazan bazaar against the prices fixed by the government.
During a visit to Ramazan Bazaar here, he said that the government had given relief package of Rs4 billion to the common man by offering subsidy on eatables in Ramazan bazaars.  He said that strict action would be taken against shopkeepers selling substandard products and those involved in overcharging.
The AC personally examined stalls established at Committee Chowk and inquired about prices and quality of commodities from shopkeepers. He highlighted that the bazaar had been set up to provide relief to the public.  On the over hand, talking to this scribe, visitors at Ramazan bazaar expressed their anger over the skyrocketing prices of daily-use items.
“Inflation and price hike have made it impossible for the common man to run his kitchen,” said Mirza Arif, a visitor.
