State Minster for Water and Power Abid Sher Ali directed completion of public interest projects especially construction of the grid stations and transmission lines on priority basis.

He was addressing a meeting at FESCO Headquarters. He said that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif had passed orders for the upgradation of distribution system so that maximum relief could be provided to the public. He further said that they are fully aware of the problems of the public.

He directed the Fesco administration to take all possible measures for the upgradation and betterment of the distribution system. He warned that mismanagement and corruption in Fesco would not be tolerated and corrupt officers would not be spared. He also directed to prepare a suitable load management plan for the last 10 days of Ramazan and for Eidul Fitr.

Fesco Board of Directors Chairman Khurram Mukhtar said that concrete steps had been taken to overcome the shortage of electricity meters and transformers. During the briefing Fesco CEO Khurshid Alam said that last years it had completed 701 LT proposals with an estimated cost of Rs391 million and 699 LT proposals would be completed in this year which would helpful to provide relief to the consumers. He further said that eight grid stations and six transmission lines were being constructed in Fesco region. He said that it had prepared load management plan.
