KHANEWAL : Provincial Minister for Agriculture Dr Farrukh Javed said the Punjab government was taking revolutionary steps to promote the agriculture sector. He said this while visiting cotton crop varieties 886 and Bangish agri farm at Khaliqabad Khanewal. Dr Farrukh said cotton crop was important for the country’s economy and hoped that cotton production would increase two mounds per acre this year as compare to the previous one. He directed the staff to utilize all capabilities for better production of cotton crop.
He said that cotton production could be increased by taking modern varieties of cotton seeds and using modern agriculture technology.
