LAHORE     -   Mohammad Yusuf Moazzam has completed hat-trick of representing Pakistan as a ‘Young Ambassador’ at the Gazprom International Children’s Social Programme ‘Football for Friendship’ (F4F).

Talking to The Nation on Tuesday, Yusuf said: “Being part of three consecutive Guinness World Record events, I feel proud, honoured, and happy to have achieved something that on the one hand is rather rare, but on the other is simply the result of my passion for football as something that makes me wholesome.”

The young football coach is keen to train underprivileged of the country and teach them the Nine Values, he has learnt from the F4F. “Currently, I am working on my football academy which I have founded in August 2020 during Covid break. My goal is to promote the Nine Values there, which I have learnt at F4F, which helped me a lot in life and I want to train the underprivileged of my country. I want to work for a peaceful and better planet through my little efforts and I truly believe that the youth has power to change the world and football drives the planet.”

Sixteen-year-old Yusuf has been representing Pakistan at the F4F Program for the last five years and his prowess on the football field has earned him a lot of laurels for his country. Yusuf further stated: “I first participated in Football for Friendship in 2017 as football ambassador from Pakistan. My communication skills with fellow players and friendship voted me to come amongst eight ambassadors from 64 countries to deliver global speeches at Expoforum Saint Petersburg.  “In 2018, I was invited as a Young Coach as two young coaches were selected amongst the best participants of the previous seasons and I was one lucky man. This year my team reached the quarterfinals of the F4F World Championship. In the seventh season of F4F 2019 in Madrid, I went as a Young Coach and appeared in Euro News and F4F digest. “2020 was an Epic year for me, I joined the representatives of FC Schalke-04 in the discussion on How football drives the planet – a part of the #UN75 global dialogue.

And I also had the price to be part of various online global conferences, seminars and web talks in 2020. Few to mention here are, Eco-Webinar talk, F4F Speaks for Nature, F4F Opening Ceremony 2020, he was one of the speakers at UN’s sustainable development goals (SDG’s) for world children conference WCC2020, interviews by national channel and Russian press, TV appearance in Emerging youth stars and role of sports on Youth Celebration Day 2020, participation in various digital activities by F4F throughout. “I was honoured to be in the Experts Council of F4F International Laureate Award and participated in the F4F eWorld Championship 2021 as a young journalist,” Yusuf concluded.
