LARKANA - The 57th birthday anniversary of the slain PPP Chairperson Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto is being celebrated in a respectable manner at Garhi Khuda Bakhsh Bhutto and other parts of the country today (Monday). President Asif Zardari, federal and provincial ministers, PPP leaders and workers have reached Larkana to participate in the birthday celebrations. Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah, MNA Faryal Talpur, Bakhtawar Bhutto, the eldest daughter of Benazir Bhutto and other ministers visited the Bhutto mausoleum where they offered fateha and laid floral wreaths. According to the birthdays programme, Quran and fateha khawani will be held at the mazar of Benazir Bhutto at Garhi Khuda Bakhsh Bhutto. 'Guard of Honour ceremony will be held at the mazars of Shuhda wherein schoolchildren will present national anthem in the morning. In the evening, a cake-cutting ceremony will be held where a 57-pound cake will be cut at the President House Naudero. PPP leaders, MNAs, MPAs and ministers will pay glowing tributes to their martyred leader. It is to be noted that a cake-cutting ceremony will also be held at the residence of Haji Munawwar Ali Abbasi at Waleed Larkana. The Sindh CM along with his cabinet members finalised all the arrangements for the birthday celebrations here at a high-level meeting on Sunday. On the occasion, blood donation camps will be established at Ratodero, Naudero, Bakrani, Dokri and Badah, and all other district of the province. Foolproof security arrangements have been made for the day and a large number of personnel of the law-enforcement agencies have been deployed in and around Naudero.
