US Special Representative for Pakistan and Afghanistan Richard Holbrooke Sunday said Pakistan at the moment lacks sufficient resources for launching any kind of offensive in North Waziristan and that Pakistan itself will decide when to go for it. In an interview with a private TV channel, the US envoy said the US looks at Pakistans dearth of resources with sympathy. He admitted that all the countries including the US have failed to stop the funding of terrorists. Holbrooke reiterated that his country respects Pakistans sovereignty, ruling out any possibility of the US crossing Afghan border into Pakistan. He criticised the report of London School of Economics in which Pakistan was blamed for not taking effective action against the terrorists. The US envoy said that his country played a significant role in the release of three Pakistanis who were detained by Israeli authorities in its action against Freedom Flotilla.
