GUJRANWALA - Six bandits, believed to be Afghans, looted Rs5 million from a banks Sheikhupura branch on Monday and fled away with CCTV cameras. Reportedly, the business was at its peak on the weeks first day in the bank when six Pashtu-speaking Afghans in three groups entered the bank in the guise of clients. First two groups sat in waiting lounge. After few minutes, two more accomplices of the bandits entered the bank and held nine bank officials and 18 clients hostage after snatching the weapons from security guards with the help of the dacoits already entered the bank. They looted Rs5 million from the bank and took away recordings and CCTV cameras. The outlaws were talking to each other in the Pashtu language. Police reached the site and blocked all the entry and exit points of the district. However no arrest was made till the filling of this report.
