KOT ADDU - Brick kiln owners will go on strike on from June 22 against the levy of 16 per cent general sales tax. This was stated by Haji Bilal, the president of Bhatta Association Kot Addu, during a press conference at Kot Addu Press Club. Haji Bilal said that rates of bricks are already very high and if GST was imposed, bricks will go out of the rang of common man. He said, If the government does not withdraw the tax, we will suspend supply of bricks from June 22nd to 24th and later, we will observe complete strike from July 1, 2011. He also said that millions of people were directly or indirectly connected to the profession. Kids die in collision: Two kids died as train collided against motorcycle-rickshaw here in Kot Addu railway line this noon. As details recieved motercycle rickshaw was crossing the railway crossing (with out baiier). Mari Indus train chich was going to Multan collided with rickshaw carring kids. One boy was died at the spot and injured were moved towards hospital where one girl died and 4 seriously injured were being treated by docters. Police arrived at the spot and statred investigation.
