OUR STAFF REPORTER KARACHI - The 23rd National Scrabble Championship ended in glory for Safdar Ali Naqvi of Kamran who won the senior plus 25 category title of the championships in which over 400 persons ranging between the ages of 11 to 25 plus appeared here the other day. Rafiq Daud of Badin won the teachers category title. Ahmad Ali Rajput (Honorary secretary, Sindh Olympic Association) and Associate Secretary General, POA distributed prizes at the conclusion of the finals. Pakistan Scrabble Association (PSA) organized the event from June 4-19 at a local hotel here. Over 400 players from all over the country participated in national championship which included 5 players from Badin, 3 from Chaghi, one from Lahore, two from Hyderabad and one from Gwadar. Results: Novice Category: 1st: Hammad Hadi Khan 6-0 11 to 17 Category: Talal Amjad. Teacher Category: 1st Rafiq Daud (Badin) 6-0. 18-25 Category: 1st Taha M. Sheikh 6-0 25+ Category: 1st Safdar Ali Naqvi (Kamra) 5-1 Tariq Pervez was tournament director. The winners were honoured with the trophies.
