LAHORE The decomposed bodies of a 60-year-old woman and her 20-year-old daughter were recovered from their 2-marla house in Ittehad Colony, North Cantonment, the police said on Monday. The police investigators were informed by the locals who had detected foul smell emitting from the house. The dead bodies are decomposed and apparently it seemed that both the woman and her daughter were stabbed to death some four to five days ago, investigators said. The bodies were later identified as Surayya Bibi, and her daughter Munazza Bibi, the residents of Ittehad Colony. The dead bodies were lying were lying next to each other in the drawing room, police sources said, adding, they were repeatedly and brutally stabbed. The girl, Munazza Bibi, was working at a beauty saloon situated in Ghaziabad to feed her mother. Both the girl and her mother were residing in the area for the last 12 years since husband of the woman had left them. On Monday, local residents noticed the foul smell emitting from their house and called in the police. The main gate of the house was not locked. As the police entered the house, they saw the woman and her daughter lying stabbed to death, a police source said. Police investigators termed the gruesome killings as 'blind murders and said that they were investigating to unearth the killers. Police sources said that apparently it seemed that deceased were familiar with the killers, who stabbed them and fled away quietly.
