The Pakistan army launched a major operation against militants in North Waziristan. Nawaz Sharif said that operation ‘Zarb-e-Azb’ will continue till peace is restored. Unfortunately, some TTP affiliated religious scholar has issued a ‘Fatwa’ calling for jihad against the Pakistani army as they are following US orders, which somehow justifies jihad!
Instead of implicating the security forces, all our scholars, TV anchors, writers and other important personalities must work hard to thwarting such so called ‘religious scholars’ who in truth started this war. For once, we should expect our ulema to come forward and guide the common man so that terrorism and extremism can be defeated. Moreover, as a nation we must respect our institutions and support them.
