ISLAMABAD- Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari today appealed to all political segments to hold a ‘ceasefire’.
In a statement issued on the 61st birth anniversary of slain PPP leader Benazir Bhutto, the PPP patron-in-chief called on all political forces to suspend the politicizing of issues and show unity in support of the armed forces fighting terrorists under operation Zarb-i-Azb.
“There should be no space for partisan politics at this time. All political forces should be united in supporting our armed forces and working to help IDPs,” he stated. Bilawal urged civilians to donate blood for the soldiers fighting in the restive North West and to provide assistance to Internally-Displaced Persons (IDPs). He said his party is mulling the formation of a donation fund for the relief and rehabilitation of IDPs.
