KARACHI-President Mamnoon Hussain has said that Pakistan strongly believed in encouraging peace and security in the region and the freedom of the seas and trade .
The President was addressing the 101st Midshipmen Commissioning and 10th SSC Officers Passing Out Parade at the Pakistan Naval Academy today. He further said that Pakistan had a strong stance to pursue a balanced foreign policy based on strengthening economic bonds and fostering good relations with each and every country especially with its neighbors. 
“Pakistan stands committed today to the international order and stability and is against terrorism in all its manifestations,” he emphasized.
The president said Pakistan Navy always performs up to the expectations of the nation to defend the waters of the country and expressed the confidence that the newly inducted officers will continue to serve the country with the same passion.
The president had very high hopes on and was confident that the new officers will cross new dimensions of command and leadership.  He said they have become a member of a much esteemed organization whose discipline and quality of work are is an example for all. He advised them to uphold these glorious traditions through strength of their personal character, integrity and honor.
Mamnoon Hussain said military leadership qualities are very vital in the career of an officer. He pointed out that a true leader is one, who leads from the front and sets an example for others.
He advised the newly inducted officers that they should always ensure that the interests of the State and the Service remains their prime goal and never let their personal feelings stand in the way during performing their duties in various capacities
The president wished Midshipmen from the brotherly countries and said that the training received in Pakistan would not only help them in professionally, but it will be a symbol of long lasting friendship of our countries.  He was confident that the bonds of friendship formed at this level will expand further.

Earlier, in his welcome address, Commandant Pakistan Naval Academy Commodore Zahid Ilyas highlighted the salient functions of the academy. A total of one hundred and eight cadets trained in various fields were commissioned to Pakistan Navy on the occasion.
