ISLAMABAD- Opposition Leader in the National Assembly, Syed Khursheed Shah today expressed concerns over absence of Interior Minister, Chaudhry Nisar Ali during North Waziristan military offensive.
Speaking to journalists outside the Parliament House, Khursheed Shah feared that there could be a backlash of the military operation. "Under these circumstances, absence of Chaudhry Nisar Ali is a matter of serious concern," he commented.
"Chaudhry Nisar is keeping a key portfolio, his absence leaves a question mark on the government, I have no idea what is going on within the ruling party at a time when Pakistan is passing through a critical phase” he said.
To a question, he said Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah was made a scapegoat after the Lahore tragedy.
"Public rallies, processions can't topple a government. However, if any major blunder is committed, then there could be a threat to the government” he said.
