ISLAMABAD- Opposition Leader in the National Assembly, Syed Khursheed Shah today expressed concerns over absence of Interior Minister , Chaudhry Nisar Ali during North Waziristan military offensive.

Speaking to journalists outside the Parliament House, Khursheed Shah feared that there could be a backlash of the military operation. "Under these circumstances, absence of Chaudhry Nisar Ali is a matter of serious concern," he commented.

"Chaudhry Nisar is keeping a key portfolio, his absence leaves a question mark on the government, I have no idea what is going on within the ruling party at a time when Pakistan is passing through a critical phase” he said.

To a question, he said Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah was made a scapegoat after the Lahore tragedy.
"Public rallies, processions can't topple a government. However, if any major blunder is committed, then there could be a threat to the government” he said.
