LAHORE: A 22-year-old youth was killed while his friend wounded critically when they were performing stunts on their motorcycle in Johar Town, police sources said on Saturday.
Resident of Wafaqi Colony, Muhammad Arslan along with his friend Abdul Rehman was doing one-wheeling when their motorcycle bumped into an electric pole in the wee hours of Saturday. Both the motorcyclists sustained serious injuries and were rushed to hospital, where Arslan succumbed to wounds. The condition of Rehman was said to be serious.
Police later reached the spot and handed over the body to the family.
Judge security: Lahore Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Muhammad Amin Wains has said that at least 21 policemen are deployed to provide security cover to Justice (retired) Kazim Ali Malik, the judge of the Election Tribunal. Hence, the speculations that security was being withdrawn from the judge are incorrect.
According to a police spokesperson, apart from one gunman at least 15 policemen are deployed at the office of the judge while five cops are employed at his residence.–Staff Reporter
