LAHORE - Adviser to Punjab Chief Minister on Health Khawaja Salman Rafique has said that passion was the most effective weapon in the struggle for the independence of Pakistan.

These ideas were expressed by addressing the students of the Nazariati Summer School on the 12th day of its 15th annual educational session.

Rafique further said that the Muslims of the sub-continent had to wage a long struggle and offer great sacrifices of life, property and honour in order to gain Pakistan. “We must keep alive the traditions established by our ancestors and preserve the values that they cherished,” he urged.

The Nazaria-i-Pakistan Trust is running the school at the Aiwan-i-Karkunan-i-Tehreek-i-Pakistan in collaboration with the Pakistan Movement Workers Trust. The attendees included Nazaria-i-Pakistan Trust Shahid Rasheed and the eminent journalist and anchor person Zulfiqar Ahmad Rahat a large number of students and teachers.

Salman Rafique acclaimed the marvellous efforts of late Dr Majeed Nizami in establishing the Nazaria-i-Pakistan Trust which is now inculcating the ideology of Pakistan and love of the Pakistan Movement heroes in the members of the coming generations. He exhorted the students to try to be good human beings and good Pakistanis.

Zulfiqar Ahmad Rahat observed that the youngsters stand for the future of Pakistan. They must apply the golden principles of faith, unity and discipline to their life. He said that, seeing the enthusiasm of the young ones, he was sure that the future of our country is going to be bright.
