Fatyana announces new political party

KAMALIA-Former Punjab education minister Riaz Fatyana has announced to launch a new political party namely Awami League in August this year.
During to a press meet, he said that leaders and workers of different political parties of all the four provinces will join his party. Paperwork has been completed and the party will be launched officially in a public gathering at Lahore in August.
The party flag will also be unveiled in an All Pakistan Rally. He stressed that the new party is being established after lengthy consultation and meetings at all four provinces of the country and it will be a true representative of all sects and classes of the community. He further said that denying power to local representatives is undemocratic behaviour and it is evident through behaviour of governments of Punjab and Sindh. There is civil martial law enforced in the country, he added. He told the media that public has no trust in democracy. The solution is not chang rather in revolution. He said that he wished a Pakistan where a moderate and progressive party is in power and Awami League will be a moderate leftist party.
He said that the elite ruled the country for their own protection, exploited the poor and weakened the country’s economy. “Pakistan cannot afford this kind of government by the elite. Current government is on one hand boasting of overcoming crisis faced by the country while on the other hand electricity loadshedding has increased ten folds. This is a major question mark on government’s performance,” he said. He said that the country cannot prosper if elite continues to rule it. He was accompanied by several regional political figures on the occasion.
