The credit of restoring the deposed judges goes to President Zardari, as he was the ultimate decision-maker in the loop. There is a buzz around here that the decision was made because of direct intervention by the American administration. The reality, however, is that President has fulfilled another promise made by late Benazir Bhutto. The Presidency has taken the decision of restoration of judges in national interest and has once again opened a new chapter of national reconciliation in Pakistan. Democracy has taken roots in our country. This is an occasion to appreciate the present democratically elected government for honouring the public opinion. -SHOAIB ABBAS, Lahore, March 20.
