ISLAMABAD - The activists of Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI) Friday lodged an application with Aabpara Police Station charging its SHO and subordinate staff for conducting unlawful raid at the PTI Secretariat on the eve of long march. Score of PTI activists along with their leaders gathered in front of Aabpara PS and made an attempt to enter in PS to register FIR against the police. However, SHO Abul-Razzaq allowed only 10 members of PTI to enter in PS while those who remained outside of PS, started chanting slogans against the SHO and government. Interesting situation was observed when PTI leadership made an attempt to force sitting Station House Officer (SHO) to register a First Information Report (FIR) against himself and his team. Finally SHO received their application and asked for 24 hours' time from PTI' for the registration of FIR. SHO assured them that he (SHO) would consult to his legal team then would registered the FIR. It is relevant to note here that on the eve of long march Aabpara Police carried out twice raid at (PTI) Central Secretariat and seized thousands of flags and allegedly other equipment. PTI leadership alleged that the policemen stole office equipment including computers, laptops, tap recorders, sound system and other precious goods, which had been sold in different markets by police. While talking to this scribe, PTI leader Prof Saddaqat Abbasi said that on March 13 SHO of PS Aabpara Abdul Razzaq accompanied by police contingent raided PTI central office and rounded up a couple of PTI workers and illegally broke open all the locks of the office. He further said that Police seized thousands of Party flags, DVD equipment, computers, posters and stickers worth million of rupees. PTI Islamabad chapter demanded to FIR be registered under criminal law against SHO and its team, for criminal trespassing, vandalising, forcible office entry, ransacking of office and theft of valuable equipment and arresting office staff and illegally raids carried out twice. They warned that after passing 24 hours if police not registered FIR they would go to the Sessions court and stage a long march against the police as well. PTI senior leader Dr. Shareen Mazari, Zahid Kazmi, Zareen Nwaz and Sardar Azhar were leading the PTI activists on the occasion.
