No prolonged power cuts in Faisalabad

FAISALABAD - Punjab Senior Minister Raja Riaz Ahmad Khan has said that no unscheduled power cuts would take place in the area and directives in this regard to the grid stations concerned had been issued. Talking to a delegation, comprising All Pakistan Textile Mills Association (APTMA), Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce & Industries (FCCI), powerlooms owners, foundry and engineering industry and others trade bodies that called on him at Circuit House here on Saturday, he said that unscheduled power cuts would not take place in Faisalabad. It was told during the meeting that the record decrease in water level of Mangla and Tarbela dams had caused decline in power production, which had overall increased loadshedding in the country. He assured the business community that he would personally check the loadshedding issue in future, and asked Federal Minister for Water and Power Raja Parvaiz Ashraf and Fesco chief, during the meeting on telephone, to redress this problem.
