Proposals submitted to resolve Railways crises

KARACHI - General Secretary All Pakistan Railway Workers Union Muhammad Naseem Rao has said that their union has submitted recommendations comprising on 142 points to the Chairman Railways that can safe Rs10 billion of the institution and will be able to resolve the crises. He expressed these views while talking with The Nation on Saturday. Naseem Rao said that they will hold negotiations with the General Manager Railways on 22nd March as well as with the Chairman on 25th March for resolving the crises confronting by the institution since long time. The facts that they have collected regarding the corruption and the other crises will be disclosed during a press conference in Karachi after the negotiation process, he added. He mentioned that the delegation that will meet the administration comprising on four officials of the Railway Workers Union including Chairman Manzoor Ahmed Razi, Ashiq Hussain Choudhry, Muhammad Anwar Gujjar. The Chairman of the Railway Workers Union Manzoor Razi when contacted told that the meeting of their organisations workers will be held soon in Rawalpindi in which all the high-ups of Railways will participate to take out the institution from the economical crises including the theft, privatisation and the wages of the Railways employees. This is the part of our campaign about to take out the institution from the crises that we have started on 10th March through the countrywide protest against the losses he added. He said that the privatisation is not the only remedy to resolve the crises. If government acts upon their recommendations, all problems will resolve, he added.
