PESHAWAR - Activists of Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) on Wednesday observed Yaum-e-Nejat on completion of Awami National Party-led five years government in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and termed it the most corrupt government in the 65-year history of Pakistan.

The demonstrators led by JI central leader and former MNA from district Chitral, Maulana Abdul Akbar Chitrali were holding placards and banners inscribed with slogans against the former government and in favour to conduct proper inquiry into the rampant corruptions in all the government institutions. They also chanted slogans against the corrupt rulers.

Addressing the participants of the rally, the JI leader Maulana Abdul Akbar Chitrali said that all the nation especially the people of Chitral were very thankful to Almighty Allah who gave protection to them from the most corrupt and incompetent rulers.

He alleged that during the last five years kidnapping for ransom was turned into a profitable business while killing of innocent people, worsening law and order situations was order of the day.

“Rampant corruption, nepotism, favoritism, Jayalaism and pro-American policies were destroyed the national institutions, where no body consider themselves safe, he maintained.
