Poor healthcare, uncleanliness irk big gun

RAJANPUR – Dera Ghazi Khan Commissioner Anwar Rashid expressed serious concerns on poor condition of healthcare, cleanliness and encroachments across the city and directed the official concerned to take steps to improve the situation within a week.
He also directed officers of National Development Projects to complete all the ongoing projects within the stipulated time. He said that negligence, disinterest and corruption would never be tolerated. However, the divisional administration would help to clear all the obstacles in the completion of a project.
In Jampur, he was inspecting the project in progress. During his first visit, the commissioner made it clear that the projects are funded through the national finance hence in their construction, negligence and use of substandard materials would never be tolerated.
During the inspection, the Commissioner advised the officers concerned not to make any payment to the contractors till the completion of projects. The commissioner also visited Jampur-Daajal road protection dykes and ordered to take severe action against the contractor for using sub standard materials. He advised AC Jampur to report on daily basis.
He then inspected Govt Girls College, Daajal and advised to complete the same in time and assured to remove all the hurdles in completion of the project. He then visited a model village to rehabilitate the flood hit people of this area being constructed with the assistance of brotherly country Turkey and gave relevant advices regarding security and other matters.
He visited Vet Hospital and expressed much concern about the doctors’ absence and advised DCO to take a note of it. Meantime, DCO Ghazi Amanullah, AC Abdur Rauf Khan, SE Building Khawar Bhutta, XEN Public Health  Sh Muhammad Salim, SDO Shoaib Khan, Deputy Director Colleges Prof Rafiq Hussain Haidari, TMO, Jampur, Malik Riaz Sandeela, TO I&S Mirza Tanveer Asghar and heads of the other departments were also present there.
