LAHORE: The Lahore Development Authority has imposed different penalties on three officials responsible for encroachments taking place in Khasra No 23 and 660, Mouza Bhopatian, included in LDA Avenue-I, housing scheme while the fourth one has been exonerated from the charges leveled against him.

Major penalty of reduction to lower post and scale from the upgraded post of special assistant (BS-17) to the post of senior scale stenographer (BS-16) has been imposed upon Ghulam Nabi Sajid, forfeiture of past five years services upon Khawaja Gulraiz Rab, Assistant Director and Iqbal Joya patwari and non-renewal of contract in future upon Waqas Noor, ex-estate officer whose contract has expired in August 2012.–Staff Reporter

Asghr Ali, Assistant Director, has been exonerated from the charges leveled against him.

Meanwhile, the authority has dismissed Iqbal Joiya, Patwari, on account of being found responsible for misplacement of file related to Al-Mumtaz Housing Society case. He was proceeded against under Punjab Employees Efficiency, Discipline and Accountability Act, 2006.–Staff Reporter
