LAHORE - A Punjab Assembly member belonging to the PTI has submitted an adjournment motion in the Assembly Secretariat inviting government’s attention towards an environmental issue.

In her motion, Raheela Anwar has stated that a plastic shoe factory at Saggian Road, Lahore is polluting the environment.

Old worn-out shoes are being recycled at the factory which is emitting a lot of smoke in the process. Consequently, the people in the area are suffering from various diseases due to hazardous smoke. The matter was brought to the notice of the high-ups but to no avail.
