The education friendly approach of Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif will bring revolutionary changes in society.

MPA Ch Fazalur Rehman expressed the view while addressing daylong Sport Gala at Govt Boys Degree College Abdul Hakeem here the other day.

College Principal Prof Syed Imtiaz Hussain Gillani presided over the sport gala while MPA Ch Fazalur Rehman was the chief guest of the event.

The MPA said that the distribution of laptops, Ujala Programme, Punjab Educational Endowment Fund scholarships and internship programme for the students were evidence of Shahbaz Sharif’s sincere efforts to encourage students for the improvement of education.

He said that sports play an important role in personality development of students and they could not be able to meet the mental and physical health requirements, which were pivotal to seek education, without taking part in sports activities.

He showed great concern over the college’s grant worth Rs80 million which was not released despite a lapse of 19 years. He promised that he would bring the matter into the notice of the CM.

He also announced 1,000 foot metalled road and furniture included lab equipments for the college. Earlier, the college principal presented annual progress report of the college and list.

Later, the MPA distributed prize among winners in different games included Intizar, Azeem, Naveed Khan, Faheem Abbas, Amjad Ali, Rana Abid, A Rauf Aqib, and Ajahangir.
