FAISALABAD - As many as seven people were tested positive for COVID-19 in the district during the last 24 hours.
According to the Health department spokesperson, 626 coronavirus tests were conducted in public and private sector labs during the same period. He said that total active cases in Faisalabad were 80 while 28,231 patients had so far recovered from the disease.
He said that 119 beds were allocated at the Allied Hospital, 52 at the DHQ Hospital and 150 at Government General Hospital Ghulam Muhammad Abad for COVID-19 patients.
At present, 17 patients were under treatment at the Allied Hospital and 2 at DHQ Hospital. He further said that 61 confirmed patients were isolated at their homes in the district.
Over 7.93m people vaccinated against COVID-19 in Faisalabad
Over 7.93 million people have so far been vaccinated against COVID-19 in the district.
District Health Officer Dr Ataul Mun’im said on Sunday that 4,565,614 people were injected first dose while 3,289, 942 were administered the second dose of vaccine. He further said that 39,841 health workers were also given first dose while 37,551 received the second dose of vaccine. He said that sufficient stock of coronavirus vaccine was available in the district.
As of now 206,127 first doses and 137,418 second doses were in the stock in Faisalabad. He said that 37 vaccination centers and 20 mobile vaccination camps were operational in Faisalabad where registered people were being vaccinated.
In order to facilitate the people these centers had been established in various areas of the city.

He further said that timing of these vaccination centers was 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. except Sports Complex Samanabad center which remains operational round the clock.
